October, 2012 – A Month of Big Global Actions!
This is extracted from this week’s InterOccupy newsletter, but we felt it was worthy of its own post because so much is happening this month! **** If you know about global actions occurring that we haven’t listed yet, please submit an announcement about them to our newswire!
We hope you're getting ready for some ACTION because October is going to be a big month globally! All over Europe, actions and events against austerity measures have already begun and will continue throughout the month.
Meanwhile globalNOISE is gearing up for the big day on October 13th of global potbanging and noise as a show of international solidarity across all of our movements. Take a look at how many locations are already onboard, visit the globalNoise hub to join their mailing list, and help share the globalNOISE media across all the worldwide social networks!
On October 20th there is a World-wide Protest against #surveillance-Systems #Trapwire #INDECT, including an online action you can easily participate in from home.
Then, a brand new initiative has just been called for from Montreal called VIA22 which is a global day of action planned for October 22nd and continuing to occur on the 22nd of every month. The idea of VIA22 is to collectively express the need that our marches and demonstrations become spaces for sharing knowledge about alternatives. We will raise collective consciousness, support and connect initiatives around the world, and contribute to the dialogue between global and local. Strength comes from creativity and unity! They just started the @Via22Global hub – this would be a great time for you to get involved in helping VIA22 get going right from the start!
Welcome to October folks. It is looking to be an exciting month for our global movement!
