HOUSTON TX – IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED
Brothers and Sisters of Houston – Public food-sharing helped sustain the Occupy Houston encampment. There has been a crackdown on food-sharing nationwide. A recently passed City of Houston ordinance severely curtails the sharing of food in public. Houston activists from Food Not Bombs, Occupy Houston, area religious and political groups as well as concerned individuals, are out gathering the needed signatures to get Food-Sharing on the ballot.
Time is crucial. 37,000 signatures are needed by July 4, 2012.
